While receiving his Suzuki teacher training from Martha Shackford, he began volunteering with the Portland Suzuki Project, a non-profit which provided free in-school violin classes in an underserved public school. He subsequently served on the board for three years. He also has a background in Alexander Technique and Feldenkrais. Scott believes in Dr Suzuki's tenet that Every Child Can, given the proper environment and loving guidance. The combination of private and group lessons, musical immersion, and supportive parental involvement is the key to success. He also enjoys working with adult students, helping to cultivate their skill while they follow their individual interests. She specializes in teaching young children and helping them start and deepen their musical knowledge in a fun yet effective way. She began teaching music in 2012 at Opus 1 Music Studio in Silicon Valley, California as a group & private class instructor. After moving to Portland, she took on her individual adventure and shares the joy of music with young minds. She recieved her M.A. in Education from North-Kazakhstan state university. “Children have an open and absorbing mind and introducing them to music as early as possible should be a goal of every parent and adult.
